PK Removals is a removals and man-and-van business in Leicester, run by Kevin. When you ask us for a quote you hand over a few details about your move. This page says exactly what happens to them.

Who is responsible for your details

PK Removals, 12 Noel Street, Leicester LE3 0DS, is the data controller for the information on this page. That means we decide what is collected and what happens to it. You can reach us on 07717 875587 or on WhatsApp.

What the quote form collects, and why

The form on our contact page asks for your name, phone number and email, the date of your move, the type of move, where you are moving from and to, and whatever you write in the details box.

We use it for one job: to work out a price for your move and get back to you. We do not sell it, we do not pass it to anyone for marketing, and you will not end up on a mailing list.

Our reason in law is legitimate interests while you are asking for a quote, because replying to someone who has asked us for a price is the obvious thing to do with their details. Once you book a move it becomes performance of a contract with you.

Where it goes when you press send

Pressing send opens WhatsApp on your device with your answers written out, ready for you to send to Kevin. At the same time a copy is saved as a form submission with Netlify, the company that hosts this website, and emailed on to us. So the details sit in two places: our phone and the website host.

If you would rather not use the form, ring or message us instead. We get the same information either way.

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries that never turn into a move are kept for about 12 months and then deleted. People often ring back a few months later and it saves them repeating themselves. If we do the move, we keep the job record for six years, because that is how long tax and insurance records have to be held.

Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will, unless we have to keep them by law.

Who else sees it

• Netlify: hosts this website and handles the form submissions. They also log ordinary server information such as your IP address so the site stays up and secure.
• WhatsApp (Meta): if you message us there, your message goes through them under their own terms.
• SH Studios Digital Ltd: the web company that built this site and looks after it for us. They act on our instructions as our processor, and may see form submissions while keeping the form working.

We do not share your details with anyone else.

Cookies and what the site stores

This website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We do not count you, follow you or build a profile of you. The fonts and images are served from our own site, not from anyone else's.

The one exception is the map on our contact page. That is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when it loads. If you would rather avoid it, use any other page on the site, or tap the address to open directions in your own maps app instead.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it
• stop using it, or limit what we do with it

Ring 07717 875587 or message us on WhatsApp and we will sort it, normally within a month. It costs you nothing.

If you are not happy

Come to us first and we will try to put it right. If you are still not happy you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for this, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
